This is pretty boring stuff, so I apologise in advance, but here are the changes and explanations, as far as I know them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Timavia<\/em>\u00a0Robineau-Desvoidy 1863\u00a0is a junior synonym of<em>\u00a0<em>Smidtia<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>Robineau-Desvoidy 1830\u00a0so<em> Timavia amoena<\/em>\u00a0becomes\u00a0<em>Smidtia amoena\u00a0<\/em>Meigen 1824.<\/li>\n<li><em><em>Erycilla<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>Mesnil 1957\u00a0is a junior synonym of<em> <em>Allophorocera<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>Hendel 1901 so\u00a0<em>Erycilla ferruginea<\/em>\u00a0becomes\u00a0<em>Allophorocera ferruginea\u00a0<\/em>(Meigen 1824).<\/li>\n<li><em>Chrysocosmius<\/em> Bezzi, 1907\u00a0not a valid genus name by ICZN rules (complicated story) so <em>Chrysosomopsis<\/em>\u00a0Townsend, 1916 is used instead, which means that <em>Chrysocosmius aurata<\/em>\u00a0becomes\u00a0<em>Chrysosomopsis aurata<\/em>\u00a0(Fallen 1820).<\/li>\n<li><em>Microsoma exigua<\/em> Meigen 1824\u00a0is corrected to\u00a0<em>Microsoma exiguum\u00a0<\/em>Meigen 1824.<\/li>\n<li><em>Actia nudibasis<\/em>\u00a0Stein 1924 is a junior synonym of\u00a0<em>Actia resinellae\u00a0<\/em>Schrank 1781, which replaces it.<\/li>\n<li><em>Peribaea\u00a0fissicornis<\/em>\u00a0Strobl 1909 is a junior synonym of <em>Peribaea\u00a0setinervis<\/em>\u00a0Thomson 1869, which replaces it.<\/li>\n<li><em>Siphona mesnili\u00a0<\/em>Andersen 1982\u00a0is a junior synonym of <em>Siphona confusa<\/em>\u00a0Mesnil 1961, which replaces it.<\/li>\n<li><em>Ernestia\u00a0<\/em>Robineau-Desvoidy 1830\u00a0is a junior synonym of<em>\u00a0Panzeria\u00a0<\/em>Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 &#8211; this has quite a far-reaching effect because\u00a0<em>Ernestia puparum<\/em>,\u00a0<em>rudis, vagans<\/em>\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<em>laevigata<\/em>\u00a0all move to\u00a0<em>Panzeria<\/em><em>.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cyrtophleba\u00a0<\/em>Rondani, 1856\u00a0is corrected to\u00a0<em>Cyrtophloeba<\/em>\u00a0Rondani, 1856 following the rule of the first reviser. See explanation in\u00a0<em>Botria<\/em>\u00a0(below).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p>Taxa not in Belshaw:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><em>Bothria<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>Rondani,\u00a01868 is corrected to<em>\u00a0<em>Botria<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>Rondani, 1856 following the rule of the first reviser. Rondani was very poor at forming linguistically correct names and used many different variations of spelling &#8211; often in the same publication, which causes the initial confusion. The next time he used one of those spellings he became the &#8220;first reviser&#8221; under ICZN rules because he chose the &#8220;correct&#8221; spelling and so it is this that we have to use.
