British distribution: England, Wales (Glamorgan and Flint), S.Scotland (Edin-burgh* and Kirkcudbright*) and N.Scotland (Gartmorn Dam in Perths*). Habitat: woodland margins (Herting, 1960; Chandler, pers. comm.) Flight period: late March to early May (at least 50 records).
Tschorsnig & Herting (1994)[Servillia]. Europe to Southern England Finland; SH NS NW HE RP BW BY NB / A CH. Warm dry forest edges forest-paths. End March to Mid May 1 generation. On the ground on tree-trunks or in grass; usually rare. Host unknown.
