Belshaw (1993): Hosts: in Europe one record from Cerapteryx graminis (Lepidoptera: Noc-tuidae). British distribution: S. England (Somerset, (Ilottcester, Wilts, Sussex md London), Midlands, Wales, N. England and N Scotland. Habitat: mainly northern moorlands (Emden. 1954). An alpine-boreal species (Herting, 1960). Flight period: May and June (at least 50 records).
Tschorsnig (1994): [Ernestia]. Northern Central Europe and Northern Europe; SH NS NW NB. Grassy edges of Pine forest. Early May to Mid June 1 generation. In grassy and herbaceous vegetation; locally common. Cerapteryx graminis L. (Noctuidae).
